FOR
ALL POOL TYPES:
SUCTION SIDE CLEANER
These cleaners attach
to the suction side of your plumbing; the pipes
and fittings that bring water out of the pool
to be filtered. This water is sucked out
of the pool by the pump. The port for this
is either the skimmer or a separate vacuum port
to which hoses may be attached. By attaching the
filter hose and activating the pump: "suction"
is created on the underside of the cleaner. Debris
passes through the hose past the port and through
a pipe to the strainer basket. Finer debris is
caught by the filter.

for above ground pools)
ROBOTIC CLEANERS
These are self-contained electric cleaners that
use low voltage from a transformer that is plugged
in to a wall outlet using a 50 ft.cord. There is
a pump motor to draw debris into the filter and a
drive motor that moves the unit around the pool.
The easily cleaned self-contained filter is the advantage
of the robotic cleaner. Because these are not attached
to the pool's filter system they do not produce any
back pressure on the filter.

FOR
IN-GROUND POOLS:
PRESSURE
SIDE CLEANER
This type of cleaner attaches
to the pressure side (return) of your circulation
system. The pressure of the water being pumped
or pushed back into your pool powers this type
cleaner which has its own "hydraulic
system" inside. Because they have their own debris
bag they do not compromise the filter system enabling
them to distribute clean filtered water around the
pool. Even when the bag is full, pressure continues
to operate the system but no additional debris is
removed.
