- Keep your pool cover clean throughout the off-season – Just because your pool is covered doesn’t mean that you should ignore it for the rest of the fall, winter, and spring. Make sure your cover stays clean throughout the off-season.
- Remember to add chlorine – You’ll want to add chlorine to your pool a couple of times over the course of the off-season. Make sure to add chlorine in the fall right after you close the pool, and in the spring after the ice has thawed.
- Periodically check the cover to make sure it’s fitted correctly – Another way to keep your pool clean (and make your life easier in the spring) is to periodically check the cover to make sure it’s on correctly. When the pool cover is on right, it keeps out dirt, debris, bugs, and other things that we bet you don’t want to be in your pool.
